Day 7 - Blogging Series - Blogging Takes Effort

The truth is everything that we do takes time and effort. Blogging too requires our time and effort .It is not easy as it looks .As you sit down and decide to start a blog and when you have to do it on a consistent basis , the content doesn't  come out just like that. But still we have to put in our best efforts and make sure our content is been put out there each day. And also when English is your secondary language ,you will have to put in additional efforts to make sure that blog posts that you put out there are fine tuned in accordance with the native speakers. And also I realized that I will not able to accomplish within a short period of time but If I keep on posting,at the same time if I attend few blogging conferences and also if I collaborate with other fellow bloggers who have started out from nothing and made a living out of it, If I reach out to them, I think I can definitely learn their best practices and in the mean time I will be able to improve this blog, which

Day 6 - Blogging series - Social networks

It was after I completed my 12th Standard a friend of mine introduced me to  facebook  . It was new for me and i found a lot of my school friends using it as a platform to share their day to day activities on it. Profile Picture , Timeline ,Post ,Comment ,Like and Share were a bunch of new terminologies. During a initial days A lots of page in order to boost their pages will tag us in it , at the time point of time , I didn't know about the "Review and Tag" option meant for tagging oriented stuff. Just like everyone else was sharing a lot of activities , used it as a platform to share my artistic stuff online and get reviews for it, and as days passed the Like obsession seemed to get the better off me.Initally using auto-Liker obtained a few likes for the post. But later the auto -Liker didn't seem to make any sense .But,to my surprise my friends list grews drastically and somehow the engagement on my posts seemed to be constantly increasing,I was consistently

Day 5 - Blogging Series - Village Life

Have You ever been to a small village ? I grew up and lived in a very small village and I still visit my place every now and then.In a fast paced world , filled with interactions that travel at the pace of a SpaceX rocket, sometimes it feels really good to enjoy a simple breeze surrounded by nature ,listening to birds singing and sipping coconut water. But apart from this what else does village life ? Is It possible for me to convince you to leave the comfort of city life to an isolated village which doesn't have great amenities but provides inner peace which most of us lack in this era . Let's see. Let me share few of the village games which we played that can also be played at city grounds. First one is "Kallah,Mannah" "Stone or Sand" The games rules are simple.we will need at-least 3 players to play this game. One person is the catcher and the rest are the players. So,Once the catcher is fixed by putting "Saw,Boo,Three" and allotm

Day 4 - Blogging Series - Just a Minute Competition

It was during my early stages of my transition from being a village kid to becoming a city kiddo. I was so curios and wanted to try out new stuff. And that's when an opportunity knocked during the primary school days at Marians. I still remember the stage on which I stood, I know they said it was a competition and they called it as JAM. I thought it might be a Jam eating contest. And I was standing in line and to my surprise they said, it's not JAM eating. It's about Just a Minute competition. The game organizers said that they will give a particular topic and I need to talk about it for a minute and no time will be given for preparation and it had to be in English. I still was a bit dizzy at that point of time. But mustering a bit of courage and looking at others performing on stage, I felt I also can do it. And the topic for me was regarding sports. And regarding I said "Sports really helps kids to be so and so... Cricket is a wonderful sport. We use ball and bat.

Day Three - Blogging Series - Story Time

The Sun was sending its beautiful waves towards me and as I was sitting under a tree it felt heavenly but as soon as I stepped away from the shade I could feel the intensity of the waves.I wished there were more trees to protect us from these heat waves. I was thinking on how this Blog could be shaped in the upcoming days and weeks .I decided from next week , I am going to dedicate each week for a specific topic and niche and make sure to blog on that particular areas alone.Meanwhile was thinking what I need to write for today. Should I write an incident that had happened in the past? Should I write a story ? Should I write a poetry ? or Should I write at all :P Then as I am typing this I have come to a conclusion , I am going to write on the Group Discussion topics given during the interview process. And the topic was " Skill vs Will "  Which is more important in life. So First of all Let's understand what is skill ? And how is Skill classified int

Day 2 - Blogging Series - Silakki Dumma

Don't ask me ,what is the meaning of Silakki Dumma - All I know at this point of time is that Sillaki Dumma is a local Tamil word which is used in various occasions.Meanwhile,The reason why I kept this as title was , I wanted to know what are the other commonly used slangs and phrases which we use in our day to day life.Post it in the comment section below. Today , I would like to discuss on the topic of Sales process. After taking few courses using  LinkedIn learning  platform and  Udemy  and from the people I have met in my life I understood a little about Sales process. The process of selling differs from Offline to the online version of selling stuff. Although I did know about the KISS technique(Keep It Simple Stupid) and also WIIFM(What's in it for them) strategy, if you observe simply on a day to day basis from the people you meet you will understand a lot about sales process. Like a samosa seller in a local train. He is consistent, has a voice modulation, t

Day one - Blogging series - Ultimate Fun

So,Yesterday I created a blog after a very long time. Day before yesterday the views were standing at zero.Yesterday it was standing at 41 and today before creating this blog ,today's views were standing at 4 views.I am assuming if I create blogs on a regular basis and provide quality content, this blog can exponentially grow but logically speaking I think for this month, the numbers might hit at 1200 views for this month. Yesterday, the blog was about affiliate marketing.I was expecting a lot of English experts to hop on to the blog and to correct me but unfortunately they did not jump in,which means I should make more stupid errors to make them dive in to this blog. I was hoping to hear from affiliate marketers about few good paying affiliate sites. But since yesterday was Day1 , the magical comments were not present in the comment section. So today is day 2. ------------------------------------------------------------- Google recognizes a page as a very good site based on the

A Blog A Day. Can We Do It ? Yes We Can.

So, as I was watching this series of daily videos from  Evan Carmichael  Youtube channel,I was pondering upon the thought process ,"if i could also something similar like the series at this moment. Then, I weighed in the possibilities of creating youtube videos .And I found out, I do have  a mobile phone,a working internet connection and also content to share but I was not having the editing skills at this point of time but I can hire one provided if i used my credit card which I didn't intend to. But what else can I do ? I can create a series of Live videos in  Facebook  or create a series of inspiring posts in  Instagram  or simply I can start writing articles each day via  Medium  or  Blogger . And it made sense that I need to start with blogger because a lot of people already have  Gmail  accounts and also Google plus accounts that means my friends, family, relatives, fans and fellow bloggers can easily login and provide their valuable comments on my blog posts.
