Once upon a time, there was a beautiful school surrounded by beautiful trees, filled with waterfalls and animals that were created naturally. The place was filled with beautiful aura and when you take a 360 degree view everything seemed to be really pleasant.
Amongst this beautiful place there was a school with students and a master. Unlike the modern school, this school had no building or infrastructure as nature was its building and its infrastructure. The master was a constant meditator and taught students various lessons and during that phase, he was helping them to specialize on using a bow and an arrow.
But one thing was common even then. One student was highly liked and ranked high by the master over the rest and the rest didn't know the reason. Constantly, the second most favorite student tried to battle it out to come, to be masters number one favorite student.
So, one fine day the master decided to test the skills of the students and check where do they stand. So he called everyone to aim higher in the sky and to hit a target in the tree where the birds were seated. Most of the students literally failed in the test.
It was battle amongst the top two. And this time too the result was the same. The favorite one won and the second favorite one missed the target by a margin. The rest of the crew suggested that the tasks were really tough and they weren't able to perform the way they wanted it to and always the master helped the most favorite person.
Now, the master re-grouped every student and made the students realized why he ranks this particular student over the rest. He again asked the top two students to come over with a bow and an arrow. And now asked to aim and before they were about to shoot the arrow, the master questioned the student who missed the target, what he was aiming at and what he was looking at this point of time.
The student said, "he was looking at the leaves that were floating and the birds that were flying nearby and a squirrel that was running" and now he turned to his favorite student and questioned the same question. The top ranked student said, "he was seeing the only thing he need to focus and that is the target. The rest is out of his sight."
And again when they shot the arrow the results were same.
On that day, the students understood why they were below and why he was above and also understood why laser sharp focus was a really important thing. The master looking at the students who got clarified, laughed a bit and moved away to prepare students for their next lesson. Their journey continues and hopefully ours too. Until another lovely story, this is your friend Fredrick Xavier signing off.
